Well, they say the birth of your first child (and I’m sure the birth of any children!) are special days, and whoever ‘they’ are, they’re not wrong!! It all started on a friday night late in February 2012, and I won’t bore you with the details, but the signs were there… Jemma was adamant that nothing was going to be happening on the Saturday and insisted I went to the football, and rather reluctantly I obliged. I wish I hadn’t now, they lost 2-1 at home to Forest, however, the result was soon to be quickly erased as no sooner had we exited the ground, a call came in from Jemmas mum, thats right, you guessed it!! Knowing we were about an hour from home, me and my dad (whose running days are slightly behind him now!) put our foot down and sprinted for the car, we had to stop a couple of times bless him!! But we made it, got back to Derby just in time to make a move for the Royal Hospital, where we got settled down for the night ahead……. fast forward 6 hours or so (you really don’t need me to tell you what happened in that window), and at 1:30 on the Sunday morning, along came little Betsy, this is for her;
