Over the past decade, I’ve documented more than 300 weddings across the UK and Europe. Each one has reinforced what I love most – the process of creating something beautiful and authentic, in the moment. My approach combines editorial expression with documentary honesty, resulting in imagery that feels effortless, emotional, and timeless. I’m inspired by the worlds of fashion, architecture, and design, and how those influences can transform the way a story is told through photographs.
When I’m not behind the camera, I live in Derby – the gateway to the Peak District – with my partner, Helen, and my two children. We spend our time exploring Mam Tor, Kinder Scout, and anywhere that offers a view, some quiet space, and a good pub. We’re both big lovers of new cultures and the food that comes with those experiences, and when we dream about the future, it’s usually in Italy – Puglia in particular – where light, colour, and simplicity feel perfectly aligned with how I see the world.
My background and the process.
For me, photography has always been as much about the process as the final image – about connection, observation, and the joy of creating something honest and lasting. Each wedding is a new canvas, shaped by light, movement, and emotion, and my role is to stay present, respond intuitively, and let the story unfold.
Before photography, I trained as a creative product designer, and I’ve always had a deep love for the world of art and design. I was never much of a sketcher, but I was fascinated by form, balance, and how objects made people feel. I never pursued a career in product design, though I still have a real appreciation for furniture design and the idea of creating something both functional and beautiful.
It wasn’t until I bought a 35mm Canon AE-1 in 2009 that I realised photography was the medium where I could truly explore those same principles. It allowed me to combine design, light, and emotion – and I haven’t looked back since.
I photograph weddings nationwide, regularly working in the Cotswolds and London, but also internationally across Europe, in particular France and Italy.
