I LOVE ANNA AND VAUGHAN!!!! There, I said it. I love them! I’m adding them both to the growing list of couples that make me wish I lived closer to London! If I lived in London, would that mean I’d be closer to Babington House? ….because I LOVE BABINGTON HOUSE!!!!! Ok, I might not be closer to Babs House, but I’d be much closer to Soho House, so I could just go and hang out with Anna and Vaughan there instead?! Ok, you get the gist, I like Anna and Vaughan, and Babington house, a lot, let’s talk about why…..
Anna. Anna is one of the kindest and most welcoming of brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, she wears the biggest smile! She’s also an incredibly talented, creative and successful individual (just take a peek at her creative agency; AndRising), her qualities and strengths are so very clear to see. I have no doubt Vaughan considers himself to be one of the luckiest of guys! But Anna is also a very lucky girl, because Vaughan is incredibly special. He’s a rare breed in todays ‘look at me’ world. For someone who is super talented at what he does, he also happens to be one of the most grounded, modest and generous of guys you could ever wish to meet. I can only illustrate this by telling you he championed me and my work to every single person he introduced me to, on his wedding day! I’d not even delivered a single image for him, but he made sure everyone knew just how welcome and part of the day myself and Kim were (more on Kim shortly…). This trait of putting others ahead of himself is something that other guests had echoed to me during the course of the day when talking about Vaughan, so yeah, he’s a bloody good egg!!!
The day itself was sensational. If you’ve never had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Babington House, unlucky!!!! 😉 You’ll just have to take my word for it when I say just how magnificent it is! The rooms, grounds, staff, food, wine, decor, styling… man, even the toilets are amazing!!! You can always tell a great venue by how good (or bad) the toilets are! Am I right?! So yeah, it was a dream day to be a part of. The evening light was mega, the ceremony beautiful, the speeches had me laughing and welling up, and the hugs were plentiful and firm!!
A final shout out has to go to my trusty sidekick and brother from another mother in Kim G, those in the industry will know just how super talented this guy is, the way he sees light, documents people, and how he immerses himself into the day is hugely inspiring, and any aspiring photographers should take note…. he worked his butt off from the second we arrived!! If I could pack him away in my kit bag and keep him for every wedding, I would!!! He has a few frames scattered throughout this post, some standouts include; the first shot below, the group-shot on the lawn taken from inside Babington House, Vaughan on his own in the chapel, and the smelling of the confetti (you’ll know when you see it!).
This is Anna and Vaughan, doing that wedding thing……

Sambo! Thanks for having me along for the ride. Best Valentine’s Day so far 😉 Agree with all your sentiments about Anna & Vaughn – decent, down to earth folk. I felt so welcome. Love the post and the images you’ve shown. I was there and I still don’t know how you manage to pull off some of these shots!!! Totally unnecessary comments about me – but I’ll take them 😘
