OMG!!
Well, first things first, you don’t need to get married on a Weekend in August (I’m not against that by the way, I get married in August!!) for it to be a beautiful and inspiring day. When Andy contacted me about 6 weeks before his wedding, which was to take place on a Wednesday in March at Shoreditch House, I really wasn’t quite sure what to expect. When I arrived at their front door, which quite frankly didn’t seem like a front door (no number, no bell, pretty much no sign that anyone lived there!), I really really wasn’t sure what to expect!! But any small ounces of doubt or scepticism that I may have had first thing very quickly disappeared….. the house was an aladdins cave, full of close friends and family, all beaming, smiling and laughing, and it wasn’t long before I felt like I’d known everyone there for the past decade.
The ceremony took place at Southwark Registry office, in glorious sunshine, before everyone boarded a red London bus for a little sightseeing tour!! With Kate’s family coming over from the US, we were treated to a little bus ride round the capital, stopping off for some shots on London Bridge and allowing guests to enjoy a glass or 2 of fizz before the evening kicked off.
The evenings entertainment (and by god was it entertaining!) was held on the very impressive rooftop of Shoreditch House. With evening views of the London skyline, a swimming pool and a gorgeous table set up for a feast, it was a special evening.
This is the story of Kate and Andys big day;
