How it’s taken me 9 months to get this one on the blog I honestly don’t know, hopefully it’s worth the wait….. 😉
So finally, it’s time for Char and Nick, who last October hosted the mother of all weddings at Quinta dos Vales in the stunning Algarve region of Portugal. What made this weekend even more special and amazing from a personal POV was that I’d already attended a wedding with these guys and half of the crowd!!! So I knew we were in for a good time, especially when that previous occasion was Jen and Ben’s trip to Château De Queille in the South of France! Char was a bridesmaid that day, and particularly excelled herself when the dancing started!!! Nick also stood out during the dancing as he was mostly topless and drinking armagnac straight from the bottle, so I knew we’d get on just great!!!!!
What to say about Char and Nick…….. oh man, can I have a couple crush?! Is that allowed?!!! Joking aside, they are without doubt one of the most welcoming, kind and considerate couples you could wish to meet. The whole weekend was super relaxed and chilled, there was no stress (Char might tell me otherwise!), but all these guys cared about was making sure their friends and family had the very best of weekends. The rate at which the weekend went by is a sure fire indication of just how much a good time was had!! Blink and I was back on the plane home 🙁
Quinta Dos Vales was a gem of a find, with elephants in trees and enough sculptures of naked ladies to fill a floor at the Tate Modern! The wine didn’t have to travel far, the weather was golden and no one, not even the band, wanted the music to end! On another personal note, I enjoyed Portugal so much it’s been added to the family list of holiday destinations, let’s just hope we don’t have to wait too much longer!
To Char and Nick, thank you so much for having me along and hosting a brilliant weekend, until the next one!!!
So here it is, Char and Nick, married in Portugal;
