They say weddings should be a reflection of who you are as a couple, and having been to my fair share over the past decade, I can say with absolute certainty that the best experiences (by that I mean weddings) are without doubt those when the couple feel at total ease with the day and the people surrounding them; kind of like the best house party you’ve ever thrown, rather than a forced and stiff formal event, which by comparison, are very rarely ‘fun’ events!
So when Emily and Charles reached out to me asking if I’d like to come and join them at their wedding in Ibiza, at a stunning venue called “Las Cicadas”, with the brief of “we just want to throw a big party and for our guests to have the best time”…. it didn’t take much for me to be excited and to countdown the days for this one!!!
Las Cicadas, a wedding venue situated in the beautiful region of Santa Gertrudis and centrally located in Ibiza, looked pretty incredible from what I could see from my pre-wedding google search. It had that wonderful Ibizan charm; white washed walls and historic tiles, palm trees and festoon lights, and as it turned out on the day, a killer sunset!!
Having met Emily and Charles for a pre-shoot around the old town the afternoon before, it was clear to see anticipation for the day was high, but they were unbelievably calm and obviously excited for the experience waiting just round the corner.
So here they are, Emily and Charles, throwing the best house party you can imagine, just in Ibiza!!
