I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a few weddings at Babington House, one of the founding locations of the Soho House group, every time I leave with my creative vice well and truly served. It is a place like no other! It is not a wedding venue, but it hosts the most incredible weddings, figure that out! I don’t know what it is, or how they do it, maybe it’s that; that it isn’t a wedding venue. It isn’t orthodox or traditional, it has a way of working, without the “this is what you do at this time”. There are no “receiving lines” or “you must do confetti there” forms of direction, it’s a venue that feels free from the standard expectation of what a wedding should be.
There’s no denying the beauty of a Babington House wedding, it’s surrounding grounds and accommodation, the lawns are immaculate, the interior is full of creativity and only inspires creativity. It’s well kept and cared for, but it’s not a showroom hotel, it’s not perfect; it has character and feels like a lived in beautiful home. A home that’s about to host one of the best weddings they’ve ever experienced.
It was no different for Camilla and Richard, who like anyone else getting married at Babington house, fell in love with the character and atmosphere the venue holds. And my word did it live up to the hype…
“The photos are wonderful, you really captured so many incredible moments which we will cherish for years to come.”
