I’ve wanted to do a little shoot in a local industrial mill for sometime now, there’s one I scouted a while back called Darley Abbey Mills, based 10 minutes from Derby city centre and dating back to the late 1700’s, its part office and part original/run-down/battered/old industrial mill, perfect for a pre-wedding shoot!! However, a few weeks after my first scouting of the building, security doors suddenly appeared, and you could no longer just waltz around on your own, the vision was gone. However, forward 18 months, and during my first meeting with Kelly and Chris, it only turned out that Chris worked for the owner of said Mill, what are the chances?! Well, after they agreed it would also make an incredible backdrop for their pre-wedding photoshoot, and after Chris had a kind word with his boss, there we were, opening those security doors and venturing into a dark and moody space.
This is Kelly and Chris, they get married in 3 months!!! I can’t wait.
