Where to even start summarising an entire year….. Well, as I sit in my final premier inn of the year (Silverstone, an 8 out of 10!!!) waiting for the kettle to boil before heading off to my last wedding of 2015, I can’t help but look back through these images and feel pretty damn chuffed and proud with how the year has turned out.
It’s sometimes quite overwhelming to think that when the year starts, none of these moments or images existed. I’ve seen 42 couples become husband and wife, I’ve watched their nearest and dearest laugh and cry, dance like it’s the last night of their lives, I’ve watched dads give their little girls away and witnessed plenty of choking up and teary eyes during the speeches!!! I could not have asked for more at the beginning of the year.
This year, I’ve also been fortunate to be named one of Rangefinders Rising Stars of Wedding Photography, something I still have to pinch myself over! And if that wasn’t enough, the year finished off with being named the East Midlands Wedding Photographer of the year!!! It goes without saying that I have to thank each and every couple that made the decision to book me for their wedding. I never forget the importance of my role on a wedding day, and I’m always crazily thankful to you guys for booking me. My priority is always to make awesome images for my couples, any awards like this are a bonus on an amazingly satisfying job, although I’m not sure “job” is the right term?!
On a personal level, it was another action packed year with many highlights, but without doubt, welcoming Buddy Ray into the world at the start of September tops it all. A huge thanks to my wife for handling and tolerating my travels in amongst being pregnant and moving house, something I know would test the most patient of people!
