My love affair with the South of France continues, and this time it’s the turn of Jen and Ben for their quiet and low-key Château de Queillé wedding…… only kidding, it kicked off!!!! Big style!! There was no way that any of these guys would just chill and sit round the tables at night whilst sampling the cheese and wine selection, they were tearing up the turf and watering it with the finest bottles of armagnac!! Note to self, check the bottle next time a guest offers a swig!!

Before the amazing entertainment that I would be provided with late into the night, there was just the small matter of Jen and Ben donning their finest rags and getting married! No big deal. Château de Queillé has been on my radar since I started shooting in the South of France, just down the road from the town of Mirepoix, it truly stands out, helped in part by the most incredible and stunning of on-site chapels, there are few venues that can offer such a close and intimate place to host a blessing; just one flight of steps from the main house. It really is a hidden gem, quite literally!! I’m sure like most of the guests making the approach to the venue, I certainly questioned both of my sat-navs as to whether there was even a building nearby let alone a wedding venue, it just appears from nowhere, tucked away in the hills of the Languedoc!!

Onto Jen and Ben… I’m honestly stumped for words when it comes to these guys, I was genuinely made to feel like one of their eldest friends, which I think/hope is the biggest compliment I could pay. I’m pretty sure they didn’t stop smiling, I certainly didn’t, even during the emotional parts of the speeches, and they certainly didn’t stop dancing once the night kicked off, I just hope armagnac can be dry cleaned from a dress!!!!!
