Italy Wedding Photographer.

Italy has become one of the most inspiring places I’ve ever worked – a country where light, landscape, architecture, and culture come together in a way that feels effortless and deeply romantic. From the hills of Tuscany to the coastline of Puglia, the stillness of Lake Como, and the rugged beauty of Sicily, each region offers something distinct. Photographing weddings here feels natural to my style – a blend of editorial structure, design-led detail, and honest documentary storytelling.

A bride in a white gown stands beside a groom in a black suit on a gravel path at Borgo di Pietrafitta, with tall trees and a stone wall in the background under a clear sky.
A couple dressed in wedding attire rides a vintage speedboat across the water, with a large forested hill in the background. The image is in black and white.

What draws me back to Italy time and again is the variety of settings and how each one shapes a wedding day. Tuscany gives you rolling hills, restored borgos, and golden evening light; Puglia offers whitewashed masserias, olive groves, and a sense of calm; Lake Como brings deep colour, dramatic architecture, and water that reflects the sun like nowhere else. Whether it’s an intimate chapel ceremony in Chianti, a modern celebration on the lake, or a garden dinner in the south, Italy has a way of elevating every moment without ever feeling staged.

Recent weddings like Frankie & Will at Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como and Amy & Jake at Borgo di Pietrafitta, Chianti are perfect examples – days shaped by atmosphere, natural beauty, and the people at the heart of it all. Each celebration had its own rhythm, its own light, and its own story to tell.

A long outdoor dining table is set for a formal event beside a stone building at Borgo di Pietrafitta. Guests in suits and white shirts are seated, one stands to speak. White flowers and string lights elegantly decorate the scene.
A yellow villa with tall windows and manicured gardens stands by a lake, with green mountains rising in the background—an idyllic setting perfect for a creative wedding photographer to capture unforgettable moments under a partly cloudy sky.
A couple dressed in formal wedding attire stands outdoors at Borgo di Pietrafitta, holding hands and leaning in for a kiss, surrounded by tall trees and soft sunlight in the background.
A group of people sits at tables set for an outdoor meal in a garden next to a stone building, surrounded by trees and hills under a slightly overcast sky, perfectly captured by a creative wedding photographer.
A long outdoor dining table with a white tablecloth is set with plates, glasses, and floral centerpieces at Borgo di Pietrafitta. Wooden chairs line the table, while string lights hang above on a gravel patio near green hedges.
A bride and groom walk hand in hand outdoors. The groom wears a white tuxedo jacket and sunglasses; the bride wears a white lace wedding gown and sunglasses. They are surrounded by lush greenery and stone railings.
People relax by a pool with white umbrellas, overlooking a large lake surrounded by mountains. Palm trees line the area, and the sky is partly cloudy, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere.

Wedding Photography in Italy

My approach in Italy is rooted in observation and design. I work quietly and intuitively – responding to the light, the landscape, and the energy of the day. I shoot a combination of digital and 35mm analogue film, blending documentary moments with editorial compositions that feel modern and timeless. The aim is always the same: images that feel alive, honest, and connected to the place they were created.

If you’re planning a wedding in Italy, whether at Agriturismo Il Rigo, Villa Catureglio, a masseria in Puglia, or a lakeside villa in the north – and you’re drawn to natural, design-led imagery, I’d love to hear more about your plans.

Italy is one of my favourite places to work, and I limit my diary to around 20–25 weddings per year so that each celebration receives the attention it deserves. If I’m already booked for your date, I’m always happy to recommend other photographers whose work and approach I trust. If my style resonates with what you’re planning – in Tuscany, Puglia, Lake Como, Sicily, or anywhere else across Italy – please get in touch through the contact form.

“Will and I love them! They look amazing. ✨👌🏼

Especially love the photos with my dad, Will and the groomsmen, us walking around the venue. The boat photos are epic. The comedian photos really show how much everyone was in fits and laughter, and the party photos, especially us on our friends shoulders!”
