This time ten years ago I was gearing up for my very first full time year as a wedding photographer in the UK, I’d shot 2-3 weddings previously, and I was full of equal amounts excitement and terrifying nerves. If I’m being totally honest, I was unsure whether or not I was even doing the right thing. I felt like an imposter (I’m not sure that feeling ever really goes away), but fast forward to 2022 and I couldn’t be happier that I trusted my gut and went for it. Despite the difficulties of 2020, it has been an incredible decade and I’m so grateful for each and every couple that have put trust in me to document their day.
2022 was nothing short of incredible, I’ve had some of the most memorable experiences at weddings this year; I’ve hugged, laughed and totally tried to hide the occasional tear behind my camera, I’ve been to the Cotswolds, France, London, Ibiza and Scotland, I’ve witnessed couples dance on bars, a brass band wearing lederhosen, Dynamo surprise a wedding, a rainbow appear over a ceremony, and even watched a marquee almost blow of a cliff! It’s been eventful, and I’ve loved every single moment of it.
So that’s enough of the waffle, this is always a long post as we have 101 images from the year to showcase, so I’m going to exit to the side after leaving you with this…. if you’ve worked with me this year, thank you so much, not just to my couples, but all the suppliers I’ve collaborated with, you’ve been incredible. And finally, wherever you’re reading this, I hope you’ve had a great Christmas, and I wish you the very very best for 2023.
