The start of May is beginning to feel like a distant memory now, but I won’t be forgetting how much fun it was to spend a day with Jo and Neil for a very colourful Oxfordshire wedding. We’d met previously for a little engagement shoot in Oxford, and after our walk round the botanical gardens, I knew that the wedding day would be a blast.
Jo and Neil tied the knot in the stunning village (I think its a village?!!) of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. After the ceremony, we all experienced something quite magical outside; the confetti had been thrown and it was sat on the ground for a few minutes, along came a gust of wind and picked it all back up again during a set of the portraits. It swirled around for a dozen shots, and really was something special, even more so given Jo had hand cut all of the confetti (she’s a little mad but very brilliant!!). She also hand made all of the chalkboard signs for the village hall, you can check them out on her Etsy shop – I’m sure it won’t be long before this becomes a full time project as they were awesome!! A very talented young lady.
This wedding also included a giant hog roast (always a winner in my eyes!!), a bake-off, a walk in a field of bluebells, and lots of dancing!! It was also featured on Rock n Roll Bride.
These 2 are amazing, I wish them both the very very best. Jo and Neil;

Really love your work, you tell the story of a wedding perfectly.
That one of her putting makeup on in the mirror, where you shot through the doorway? Very cool.
The colors at the ceremony are like something out of a storybook.
I love that church. Such a cool ceremony spot. Also, his face as she walks down the aisle is perfect. Love those captured emotions.
Superb storytelling Samuel!
