At long last, its time to blog Georgie and Chris!! I’ve been waiting to share this one for ages as it had everything; personality, love, laughs and bucket loads of fun! And talk about doing it your own way, there aren’t many brides that can say they’ll be getting married in their parents garden, but Georgie could!!
Set in the grounds of her childhood home, Georgie and Chris had to build a timber gazebo in order to carry out the ceremony, and by gosh was it worth it. Georgie wore a stunning Jenny Packham dress and Vince Camuto shoes, and made the shortest journey of any bride I’ve photographed yet. The ceremony was only 100 yards from the family home, and with guests waiting, the very dapper groom (aka Chris, aka The Guv’nor!!) stood under the gazebo, the music decided it didn’t want to play!!!! Usually, this would be enough to test the nerves of even the most calm of brides, but after 30 seconds of silence, Georgie stood waiting in the wings, the guests took it upon themselves to start singing…….. “dum dum da duuuum, dum dum da duuuum”, and it made for one of the highlights of my year. Everybody singing, Georgie and Chris laughing, the atmosphere was incredibly warming. And the rest of the day followed suit.
To any gents reading this, if you’re ever in London, and fancy a slick new trim, pay “the guv’nor” a visit, he runs a cool little barbers shop in Shoreditch – Huckle the Barber, tell him I sent you and you’ll be very well looked after.
This is Georgie and Chris, and their garden wedding (also featured on Rock My Wedding);
