So, just over a week ago, I had the crazy pleasure of documenting a wedding for an old family friend. I’ve known Katie and her family for the best part of 20 years now, so when she got in touch last summer to ask if I could shoot her and James’s wedding, I knew exactly what I’d be letting myself in for!!!! 😉
Katie and James tied the knot at the stunning Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire, a venue that I’ve always been intrigued to shoot but never had the chance, that was until now! I kind of knew that it would be an impressive space for a ceremony, but it was even more impressive than I could have possibly imagined. High ceilings and incredible feats of architecture with very striking pillars, I can totally see why Katie and James picked it to say their vows.
After the ceremony, it was back to Alrewas Hayes for the reception. Another beauty of a location with some great spots for portraits. Silhouettes into the evening sun from now on probably aren’t going to be the same!!!! Here’s a little preview of their awesome day;
