Chateau Rigaud Wedding, The Dordogne, France – Amy + Tim

I’m genuinely stumped here…. Where on earth do I start with Amy and Tim’s wedding? Let me just set the scene a little; I’m in the office, I’ve just had my lunch, the early afternoon brew is on, the images are all uploaded and ready to go, I’ve just got to write a couple of paragraphs that give you a feel for the day. The easy bit is telling you and google search 😉 that it was a Chateau Rigaud wedding in the Dordogne region of Southwest France (a crazily stunning venue BTW), so that’s that done, but now I’m stuck. Usually, and especially when I was a little younger, studying or writing essays, this would simply be because I have nothing to say (probably hence why I’m now a photographer!), but I don’t have that problem here. Quite the opposite.

Before I start to write a blog post, I make some notes and give myself some prompts from the day, some ideas and standout moments that I can work into a few lines. And I’ve got some notes here from Tim and Amy’s wedding….. but rather than go into each of these points and pad them out, I’m just going to give you them as I have them written down. I’ve read it a few times, laughed at my desk, realised what a crazy and brilliant day it was, and that this list bizarrely sums up just how magnificent it was. This is it;

  • Chateau Rigaud in the Dordogne (tick!)
  • France budgy smugglers
  • A giant inflatable pink flamingo
  • A flying champagne cork
  • Laure de Sagazan dress and Tim’s sharp suit
  • A semi naked DJ
  • An appearance from Pitbull
  • Speaker felling
  • A flying wedge of lime
  • The dead worm
  • Topless guests – I also might have been encouraged here!! 😉

Do you see my dilemma?!!!

It goes without saying that I was absolutely buzzing after Amy and Tim’s wedding, I’m beyond honoured to have been invited along to document it, and before I head off to order an inflatable pink flamingo, this is their little preview;
