On friday afternoon I made the long drive north, with the sat nav guiding me towards the stunning Lake District, I was on my way to shoot George and Lornas wedding at Askham Hall in Penrith. As driving goes, it was a long one, but by gosh was it worth it!!
Not only is Askham Hall a stunning venue with amazing grounds, it was full of lovely and funny people, my favourite kind of people!! Weddings are always about bringing family and friends together, but even more so in this case given that George and Lorna currently reside in the contrasting city of Abu Dhabi. I gather it’s a little warmer over there at this time of year?!
They certainly made the most of the occasion and it was clear how important the day and weekend was. This was my first time to the Lake District, it certainly won’t be my last!!
Happy St Patricks day to George and Lorna, this is a little teaser of that amazing day;

Absolutely beautiful 🙂
Solid stuff as always Sam! Love the one of the guy holding his index finger up in the air – the framing is absolutely perfect!!!
Looks like such a beautiful day. We love the starry decorations throughout the venue. This is great work!
